Buildlink Group Limited is a building supplies Co-Operative buying group comprising 3 brands: BuildLink, Handilink and Trowel Trades. The BuildLink Support Office is a small tight-knit team comprising: General Manager, Financial Manager and Marketing Coordinator based in Westgate, Auckland. About the Role:
To become a better known national brand we are looking to appoint someone with marketing experience to develop and implement effective brand-building strategies and digital marketing activities.
Your goal will be to increase brand awareness through effective brand and marketing campaigns. Reporting to the GM and FM you will assist with:
Development of brands and marketing strategies for brand awareness
Work with inhouse graphic designers developing marketing content for: websites, social media, email marketing, promotions, events and catalogues
Optimising marketing and promotional campaigns with a focus on the digital landscape
Analysing brand performance, campaigns, competitors? activities, and consumer trends to provide recommendations for brand development
Liaise with Suppliers to secure commitment across marketing activities and events
Liaise with Members to ensure plans are articulated according to brand standards and to inform them on all marketing activities and events
Organising and managing annual conference
Assisting with the organisation of the annual event alongside travel agency
Assist with national Fieldays
Other ad hoc duties as required from time to time
Essential key experience and attributes:
3-5 years? as a Marketing assistant with the view to taking the next step in developing your career
Tertiary Qualifications in business and/or marketing
Commercial Acumen ? you need to know if your actions will improve the bottom line
Great communication skills with both members and suppliers via phone and email to encourage marketing support for the Group
Strong writing skills and experience in writing marketing content for websites and social media
Strong organisation and multi-tasking skills
Strong attention to detail
A genuine respectful person who enjoys talking with people and building relationships
Passionate about what they do with a high work ethic
Cool calm and collected
In a nutshell
You already have good marketing understanding but you are also an all-rounder that thrives in variety and loves to help others and make a difference.
Someone that is respectful and enjoys building relationships with people.
You'll be working with a lot of stakeholders (members, suppliers and others) and managing/coordinating the annual conference and event so you are relaxed and calm under pressure.
You are someone that prefers working in a very small team environment and is capable of self managing and getting on with things.
