Marketing and Communications Manager - Fixed Term Maternity Leave Contract Marketing Communications (Marketing & Communications)We are seeking a Marketing and Communications Manager for a 12-month fixed term maternity leave cover.ABOUT USThe Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union was formed in 1955 and encompasses a very large catchment area which includes Manurewa Rugby Club in the north and extends down to the Te Kauwhata Rugby Club in the south. The region also spans from Waiuku Rugby Club in the west to Beachlands Maraetai Rugby Club in the east.The purpose of the Union is to grow, empower and inspire our people through rugby and we are on a mission to be the pride of our community.ABOUT THE ROLEThe primary purpose of this position is to oversee the Union's Marketing and Communications functions with a key focus on marketing campaigns and stakeholder engagement and management with the objective of raising awareness of various undertakings of Counties Manukau Rugby. This includes promoting the Union's two flagship teams involved in the National Provincial Championship and Farah Palmer Cup as well as increasing participation through the various programs run by the Community team and growing the sport in the region.Counties Manukau Rugby offers flexible working arrangements, and the role will require a candidate who is prepared to work outside of normal working hours and on weekends as required.Reporting to the Head of Commercial and with a dotted line to the Chief Executive Officer the key duties of the role include;Drive Counties Manukau Rugby's communications and messaging through all channels, including online and social media.Drive the creation and development of content that will establish and grow Counties Manukau Rugby's online presence, particularly through the maintenance and updating of Counties Manukau Rugby's website.Create and/or manage the production of press releases, stakeholder-related communications, match previews and reviews, articles, editorials and engaging digital content.Assist with public relations and communications and liaise with media.Develop and maintain media contacts and relationships.Implement plans to improve fan engagement and the game day experience.Put together and execute an annual marketing plan for Counties Manukau Rugby.Oversee all aspects of ticketing, including working with our contracted ticketing partner to build out our events and get them on sale.Manage our database and develop strategies to build it and communicate with subscribers.Assist with all events undertaken by Counties Manukau Rugby and assist with administrative duties when required.Assist the Head of Commercial on any commercial matters including working with the CMRFU's sponsors and partners.Selection CriteriaExperience in Communications/PR/Media and Marketing or related subjectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProven experience using Canva and Adobe PhotoshopExperience in creating and delivering digital content for social mediaExperience in developing and maintaining stakeholder relationshipsExperience with Microsoft desktop products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExcellent organisational and computer skillsPersonal AttributesStrong interpersonal skills; able to work and engage with people at all levels of the organisation and in the rugby communityAble to prioritise based on organisational strategyStrong attention to detail and accuracyAble to work independently and as part of a teamSelf-motivated, enthusiastic, creative and resourcefulAble to work under pressure and to plan, prioritise, and organise to meet deadlinesWilling and able to work outside normal business hours when requiredIdeally applicants will be able to begin by Monday 6 May 2024 but open to discussion.TO APPLYPlease send applications with a CV and cover letter to (email protected) by Friday 12th April.Report this job advertDon't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.Learn how to protect yourselfYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
