Description The role As the Digital Services and Innovation Market Leader, you will drive the digital services we provide to our Water clients and our ability to grow a culture of innovation-focused revenue growth. This role's purpose is to lead the overall digital growth ambition within Stantec's New Zealand Water business. In doing so, you will be an innovation champion and lead our journey towards becoming a technology-forward organisation.
This role is a senior leadership position within Stantec's New Zealand Water business and our Digital Practice in ANZ, with a Matrix-reporting line to the Digital Practice Lead – APAC & Operations Lead Water NZ. Market leadership is key to achieving growth of our digital services in the New Zealand Water Sector and assists in branding the market within our business.
As a Market Leader, you will enjoy client recognition as a leading practitioner—assisting you to promote the delivery capability and specialist expertise of our digital services and innovation to our clients and facilitate project wins.
Specifically, your duties will include: Client & Market Brand: Being sought by clients to provide trusted advice and assurance in the delivery of our services and products.
Positioning Stantec within the digital services sector will provide us with an opportunity to not only respond effectively to bids but to create opportunities and present them to clients.
Winning and delivering landmark projects to raise our brand and position us to recruit leading talent.
Market Growth: Applying strategic thinking, accounting for global trends within the market and the impacts of other challenges such as climate change and resilience.
Working with the Water leadership team to develop new business and deliver strategic bids.
Identifying strategic direction for the digital market and working with the Water leadership team to implement it.
Collaboration Locally, Regionally and Globally: Assisting in bringing global experience and knowledge to our clients as a key value proposition and differentiator.
Developing strong links with your counterparts in our APAC, North American and UK business lines—these links will facilitate the transfer of knowledge and experience to both our clients and to our teams.
Developing effective regional delivery capability to provide the services our clients need.
Project Delivery: Taking a technical lead role, being a reviewer, acting as an advisor, or serving as a project director on projects.
Working to ensure that Practice Leaders and Technical Specialists develop and maintain the guidelines and procedures that improve the delivery efficiency, and facilitating the sharing of these learnings between teams.
People Leadership: Mentoring to assist in the training of fellow practitioners to grow their skills.
Working with the Water leadership team to identify where we need to recruit so our service offerings are broadened or augmented.
Align with the Practice Leaders to create a collaborative approach to success across the practices within the digital market.
Quality and Innovation :
Working with the business leadership functions to drive improvement opportunities and quality of project deliverables and to meet and exceed client expectations.
Monitoring innovations brought by delivery teams and sharing that success across the business.
So, what do you need to bring to take your career to the next level? Significant relevant experience in the market.
Relevant tertiary qualification, preferably post-graduate.
Nominally 15 years professional experience in the relevant technical discipline.
Professional registration in a related field.
