HWEN was established in 2018 to promote Maori and Pasifika entrepreneurship through smarter use of procurement. Its mission is to unlock supply chains for Maori and Pasifika businesses to enable them to participate fully in the economy and grow. With seed funding from central and local government, HWEN is already an established success story. To enable its full potential, HWEN is seeking a Manukura to lead the programme as it extends nationally.You will lead a team of around 15 staff, develop new and sustainable funding streams, create partnerships as well as business systems and processes to enable HWEN to increase its impact. With initial support from Auckland Council, the intention is over time, that HWEN will become a stand alone organisation.You will be able to demonstrate a deep commitment and connection to Maori and Pasifika communities and businesses, as well as innovation and commercial acumen. You will be a proven people leader and partnership builder, comfortable working with a wide range of organisations, businesses and communities. As the public face of this programme, you will be focused on growth, impact and delivery.This is a fixed term position based in Auckland, preferably at the Henderson office.
