The role involves:
Lead, manage, inspire and plan the work of the Venue Sales teamManage client retention and development to sustain future growth and customer loyaltyEnsure a strong industry presence through engagement and collaborationImplement and execute account management cycles and reporting to deliver to predetermined revenue budgetUncover booking trends, market performance and strategically target the right businessPromote and secure bookings and sales for Takina Events and manage the delivery of Sales through othersOversee promotion and sales of Takina EventsEnsure venues sales processes and procedures are followed and planned targets are achievedKey skills and attributes for this role include:
5+ experience in a sales role within hospitality, corporate or a similar environment5+ years managing and leading a medium sized teamProven sales track record in building key business relationships and delivering sustainable revenueCollects and uses data to drive continuous improvementDelivers work with a strong customer centric approachExcellent networker and connectorProven ability to price, plan, sell and develop functionsAbility to engage marketing across a range of platformsFurther information can be found in the Manager Venue Sales Position Description.

The starting salary for this position will be between $91,773 pa - $108,980pa. Offers will be made within the range to reflect the skills and experience offered by the candidate and those required of the role, and internal relativities with other employees.

Prior to Te Papa confirming any offer of employment, pre-employment checks will be undertaken including criminal conviction history and reference checking as a minimum.
