About theopportunity
Wehave an exciting and challenging opportunity for a highly experienced PayrollManager with significant technical knowledge to oversee a transition to a newpayroll system in 2021, as well as proven people management skills to furtherdevelop our payroll team.
Reporting to the GM Human Resources, this role ispart of a wider team of HR and Payroll professionals. As an organisation C3 has a complex structure withnumerous regional collective agreements and subsidiary companies. We arecommitted to investment in new technology and systems to achieve continuousimprovement and grow our business.
What you willbe doing;
Provide project leadership and oversight of a new payroll system
Champion quality assurance and legislative compliance
Leadership of all payroll operations which includes oversight of weekly and monthly pay runs
Lead coach and develop the payroll team capabilities
Lead continuous improvement and customer service initiatives
Generating data and reports to help HR and leaders better manage the business
What you willbring to the role;
Several years’ experience in managing a payroll function and team
Deep knowledge and understanding of payroll and related legislation
Experience at liaising with MBIE, IRD, ACC and WINZ on payroll related matters
Strong numerical and analytical ability especially relating to complex systems
A calm and deadline driven approach to meet weekly, monthly deadlines and project driven
Well-developed database and Excel skills
The ability to assess and mitigate risk within a large complex payroll environment
A proven customer service focus with strong communication skills
