Te turanga - The role
In this role you will lead a team responsible for the production of high-quality analysis and advice to the Bank's policy committees, within the department and across the Bank generally. The team is required to have a deep understanding of financial markets, the global economic environment, and how these interact with the New Zealand economy. Your team develops and maintains models that contribute quantitative information to inform advice. You will be required to provide strategic direction and leadership to the team and build effective stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.

As a member of the department's management team, you will provide leadership and insight on operational, policy and management matters of the Financial Markets Directorate.

Experience leading a team to deliver outstanding outcomesComprehensive financial markets and macroeconomics experienceStrong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information to a variety of audiencesThe ability to motivate and develop a team of analysts with a range of experience levels, across multiple locationsStrong relationship and stakeholder management skillsA post-graduate degree in Economics or related discipline, with a strong analytical backgroundNga painga - What we offer
