It is an exciting time to work in Libraries in the Kapiti Coast District, our 'Fit for the Future' review of library services is underway and this position is pivotal in influencing, leading and supporting this process and our staff. The Manager Library Experience will be responsible managing the growth and delivery of operations and experience across the district's library hub facilities, including customer service, service delivery and staffing. We are looking for a strong leader who can coach, empower and support our Managers and a front of house service delivery transformation. Skills and Experience An understanding of Te Ao Maori perspectives and Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and their application and expression within libraries including a level of proficiency in Te Reo appropriate to the role.Significant experience in leading services and teams through a change process including managing conflict is essential.A tertiary level qualification in associated fields such as People Management, Change Management or GLAM sector Management along with relevant work experience in a customer service environment.Effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to customer service.Committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice, demonstrated through regular attendance at workshops, conferences, meetings and reading professional literature.Please read the Job Description here.
