Join us at The Fono Trust. A Pacific organisation established for over 30 years offering an integrated model of care across a wide range of services from nine locations in Auckland and Northland.
We are looking here for an experienced accountant with a suitable staff management experience. The person will have an accounting qualification and practical expertise in reviewing, recommending improvements and supervising the operational and analysis aspects of the financial operations. This encompasses:
monetary management,
budgeting, and forecasting,
reporting and audit management.
Also participates in a range of activities and projects including contract reviews and working with Service Managers on effective operational monetary management of contracts and the units overall. Reporting to the CFO/Director of Corporate Services, The Manager - Group Finance manages the finance team.
This is a permanent employment position. Location is 117 Carbine Rd Mt Wellington. Hours are forty per week.
About YouWhat you will need for this position is:
Suitable vocational experience including monetary management, budgeting, forecasting, accounting processing, analysis, reporting and audits.
Acceptable previous management experience in the health sector or similar.
A good understanding of computer system developments with the ability to swiftly master the organisation's systems and programmes including Microsoft Dynamics, medical and dental software.
A reasonable understanding of government contracting compliance and the critical need for effective planning and project management.
Proven ability to show initiative in developing innovation solutions and flexibility to adapt to fast evolving circumstances.
An understanding of Pacific cultures and protocols and being keen to be part of making a real difference for Pacific people across Auckland.
