Reporting to the Executive Manager Insurance Operations, you'll lead IAG NZ's centralised insurance capability team to design, build and implement a capability strategy that develops our insurance professionals to deliver IAG NZ's strategic priorities and provide exceptional outcomes for our customers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Leading the development and implementation of an insurance capability strategy that supports the achievement of IAG strategic and operational requirements.

Partnering with key senior leaders to understand the insurance capability needs, priorities and opportunities within their division to develop an effective framework and programme of work.

Leading the development and implementation of a career pathway for our insurance professionals, connecting insurance capability with development planning and helping people understand how they might use and develop their skills and experiences.

Managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships that underpin effective implementation of the insurance capability strategy and career pathway and support business leaders to embed insurance capability at all levels.

Skills & Experience

Demonstrated senior capability management experience ideally in the financial services sector (insurance, banking) or customer service/retail sector

Extensive change leadership experience

Proven experience in designing, developing and implementing a variety of learning opportunities included accredited learning, on the job learning, just in time, on demand learning and coaching

Demonstrated ability to assess and link operational decisions considering longer-term consequences and strategic goals

Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and bring people with you along the journey to orchestrate team success

A tertiary qualification in education, organisational development, human resources or a comparable field of study is highly desirable
