Fixed Term Contract - 5 months (July - December 2020)

80 hours per fortnight

A five month fixed term contract opportunity has opened for a Management Accountant to work for the Hawke\'s Bay District Health Board. The work environment would best be described as fast paced and high performing and we are looking to add a highly talented Accounting professional to join the team.

This fixed term contract of five months (July - December 2020) is to provide financial management for additional expenditure relating to COVID-19.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you\'ll work within our Management Accountant team ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting is available to management, the Board and the Ministry of Health.

You will have the ability to work with Manager\'s at all levels and building relationships will be integral to your success. It is crucial that your verbal and written communication skills are at a high level and that you have very strong Excel and systems skills.

To apply for the role you must have:

Tertiary qualification in a Business Degree or similar.
Experience relevant to the Management Accountant role.
Proven ability of thinking laterally and developing innovative solutions to problems.
Ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with others.
Ability to persuade and influence others to an alternative point of view.
Experience of coping with change in a complex environment.
Attention to detail.
Advanced Excel skills (complex spreadsheets, pivot tables).
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of an organisation.
Able to work independently.
Able to meet tight deadlines

To be successful in this role you will already have experience in management accounting, be a people person combined with well-developed technical skills.
