Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician
Company:

Synlait

Details of the offer

Synlait is the 21st Century Milk Nutrition Company. We’re committed to doing milk differently for a healthier world. We’re using our heads, our hearts and our hands to drive value through new thinking and a new attitude.
Due to an increase in demand, we are now recruiting a third shift at our Auckland Blending and Canning Facility based on Richard Pearse Drive in Mangere and now require a game changing Maintenance Technician to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract.
As Maintenance Technician you will help write your own chapter of the Synlait success story by using all your engineering knowledge to ensure that our machinery and processes are first rate. We will be looking to you to be the guardian of reliability in the plant where you will be required to be part of a high performing shift team. You will be an expert on equipment set-up and will support the team to achieve world class standards and improving overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). There is a requirement for shift work in this role.
We will look to you to give your input into new plant projects, but more than that, we would welcome your all-round knowledge of plant operations from procedures to support the training of staff. This role encompasses planning and communication with production staff, and participation in plant improvement and problem-solving exercises.
You will need to be a strong and clear communicator with people from all levels, as the work you do will have impact right across the plant. How you work with people and build relationships will be key to your success.
You'll need a Trade Certificate or at least an NCEA equivalent,
It is most desirable however that you have knowledge and experience with fast moving consumer packaging lines and both a mechanical and electrical trade certificate.
An understanding of food manufacturing and hygiene requirements is desirable.
Experience in dairy plant or similar food industry maintenance is highly desirable.
This can be a high-pressure environment from time to time so we're looking for someone who's organisation, work ethic and resilience helps them truly thrive.
This is a shift work role (rotating roster, working 2-day shifts, 2-night shifts) so being able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights is essential.
If you’re ready to change the game, apply now!
About UsSynlait is the 21st Century Milk Nutrition Company. We’re shifting perceptions of sustainable dairy, people and planet. We’re driving value through new thinking and a new attitude.
