The Opportunity Based in our Auckland CBD Site and reporting to the Upper North Island Operations Manager this role is responsible for ensuring all scheduled maintenance tasks and required repairs to plant and equipment is safely undertaken as per the terminal maintenance plans. This included urgent repairs whilst maintaining a comprehensive database on repairs and maintenance records as well as documenting all future requirements.
Responsibilities: Complete daily and monthly maintenance tasks around the site which may include inspecting, cleaning, lubricating or replacing mechanical machine parts.
This is a hands-on role which requires someone who is comfortable with using hand and electrical tools to perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues/breakdowns when they occur.
Familiar with job safety analysis process and able to adhere to safety rules.
About You Proven experience as maintenance technician/fitter, preferably within an industrial environment.
Trade certificate in a mechanical discipline is desirable.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
Someone who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty!
Basic understanding of pneumatic butterfly valves, augers, and hydraulics is desirable.
Able to use hand and electrical tools.
Manual dexterity and strong problem-solving skills.
Good physical condition with a willingness to work overtime.
Sound knowledge of Word and Excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
