Must have attributes:
Health and safety focused
Excellent attendance record
A team player
Can think for yourself and work unsupervised
Prepared to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Physically fit and able to be on your feet for a 9hr working day (most workstations have an element of hands-on work)
Desirable attributes:
Experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing or production industry
Knowledge of "Five S" and lean manufacturing principles
Mechanical aptitude
Forklift driving experience
Basic computer skills
Previous experience is not required as all training will be provided on site.
Pan Pac Otago is a modern sawmilling facility that produces kiln dried appearance grade lumber for domestic and export markets. Based in Milburn approximately 40 mins south of Dunedin and 20mins north of Balclutha.
The successful applicant will be trained on multiple workstations which can include driving forklifts or loaders, this allows for staff rotation and flexibility.
Pan Pac Otago runs a drug and alcohol-free site. All applicants must be prepared to pass pre-employment and random testing.
