This position will be working within our Occupational Therapy Department. In this role, you will provide a quality therapy service, including assessment for and provision of garments; education on condition management and ongoing review of clients who experience lymphoedema or scar conditions.This role will include:Aligning with clinical and professional practices with Te Whatu Ora Te Tai Tokerau policies, protocols, clinical standards and valuesContributing to the Allied Health teamsCommunicating effectively with professional colleagues, suppliers and external providersThis is for a full time, permanent position working 40 hours per week between 08.00 and 16.30, Monday to Friday.Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai Tokerau is committed to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and holds stewardship for equitable health outcomes for Maori as Tangata Whenua as the highest priority.Along with an interesting wide variety of work to keep you engaged, you will work alongside a supportive and tight knit team with the opportunity to gain further knowledge and skills within the team as well as other staff members in the wider service. We have a strong commitment to regular supervision and provide you with multiple professional development opportunities to advance your career.To be successful in this role, you will have:A current practicing certificate and registration in NZ as either an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Nurse.Minimum 2 years post graduate experience in professionThe ability to work autonomously and as part of multidisciplinary teamThe ability to establish and maintain working relationships between staff and clientsNo conditions on your scope of practiceExperience with Lymphoedema care or work management is desirable, however not essential to apply.
