The Log Marshalling Supervisor is a full-time salaried role. In this role you will have oversight and management of our log yards and you will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of operators and staff working at the sites we operate from. As a Supervisor, you will need to be a great communicator and have exceptional leadership skills as you will be expected to be in-charge of the storage and movement of all export logs arriving at the port.
A key aspect of the Log Marshalling Supervisors role is safety and there is focus on ensuring the team are safe at at all times. This will include conducting safety briefings, undertaking hazard assessments and generally meeting all the requirements under HSWA. The Log Marshalling Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring efficiency in the operation and ensuring that the operation is running smoothly. A key focus for each day will be organizing the movement and storage of product as well tracking and arranging for the load out of logs to vessels arriving at the port.
To be successful in this role you will need to be a natural team leader and ideally have a background in logistics and/or alternatively forestry experience.
