This mahi will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it… Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Maori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Maori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Maori. The commissioning teams are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, developing and agreeing health plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our wider Health New Zealand: Te Whatu Ora colleagues, communities, Iwi Maori partnership Boards and the wider health sector to shape system-wide health services across the motu. The Local Clinical Integrators are General Practitioners or Nurse Practitioners in clinical practice, who are tasked with supporting the commissioning teams to implement service improvements in the local areas in which they practice, They will work closely with their Hospital and Specialist (HSS) colleagues, the Clinical Advisors in the Regional Service Integration Teams, the Regional Clinical Director, Primary and Community Care. They will report to the Senior Local Area Manager, Commissioning within their area. Current Vocational Registration or Practicing Nurse Practitioner. Significant clinical practice in the NZ public health system Experience in a clinical system leadership role. Currently in clinical practice and will continue in that as part of the role Experience as a change leader, demonstrating the capacity to respectfully challenge status quo and continuously improve processes and outcomes. Demonstrated experience at a leadership level for developing, maintaining and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with other clinicians, Maori and Pacific Peoples and groups. Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes, including financial outcomes, and develop/recommend responses in consultation with key stakeholders.
