Fortis our property development business, has a portfolio of more than $750 million in successfully completed residential and commercial projects, with a further $560 million to be completed by the end of the year.
Due to continued growth, our Credit & Loan Management team has an opportunity for a Loan Management Officer.
Job DescriptionAbout the role As part of the Loan Management and Credit team, this role is responsible for the management of Commercial Property Loans but also supports the general activities of Pallas which encompasses all facets of property lending, property development lending and the related property backed investments that Pallas offers to its investor base of Family Offices, HNW Investors and Institutional Partners. On occasion, you will also support the Credit Team assessing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of loans from date of settlement until repayment of loan in full.Work closely with Credit team to ensure that loan settlements are processed in a timely and accurate manner.Management of post-settlement conditions and loan maturities.Liaise with internal Paralegal on discharge of mortgage and consents.Liaise with third-party loan administrator on loan setup and transactions update. Ensure that all details are accurate and up to date.Reporting / updates for internal and external stakeholders.Prepare and review of quarterly updates to investors (or as required).Continuous improvement of processes, templates, tools and procedures.Compliance with company risk and compliance policies and procedures and adherence by the team.Early identification and escalation of any issues.Recording and reporting to internal stakeholders on a weekly basis.Ensure accurate recording and maintenance of all loan files and reporting across the team.Assist with the analysis of a diverse range of Real Estate lending opportunitiesAssist with the analysis of valuations and financial accountsAssist with the market analysis and preparation of Credit and Investment committee papersAssist with drafting of Term SheetsPreparation of Conditions Precedent checklistsReview and assess market research, data analytics and trends reporting on debt markets and real estateAssisting with the preparation of investor memorandums on emerging market themes and general presentationsSupporting Distribution team on capital raising initiatives Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout you Experience in loan administration of commercial or residential mortgage loan1-2 years' experience within the finance industryTertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, business or a property related discipline preferredAdvanced numeric and excel skillsDemonstrated knowledge of commercial real estate across multiple asset classes preferred but not requiredAbility to work autonomously and with a high level of ownershipStrong communication skills, both written and verbalStrong stakeholder management and influencing skillsContinual improvement mindsetExcellent attention to detail and accuracy.The people are entrepreneurial, the business is young and proving itself fast: it is a great time to join the group.
