Line Supervisor - Manufacturing

At NZWindows Waikato we are looking for a Line Supervisor to drive a One-piece-flow manufacturing process and a culture of continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing principles. You will be responsible for the day to day supervision of work flow, quality and team performance through effective leadership. This position reports to the Factory Foreman. Excellent pay rate for the right candidate.
You will be experienced in the manufacturing process and one-piece-flow and ideally an understanding of the Lean principles.
Not only are you passionate about manufacturing, efficiency and constantly improving your team’s performance, you will be well organised, have outstanding communication skills with high standards.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Manage the day to day operation of one of the factory lines
- Support and develop the team
- Understand work priorities and ensure these are followed
- Problem solve issues throughout the day to ensure the work keeps flowing
- Get jobs out on time
- Ensure we are producing a quality product
Skills and Attributes required:
- Proven supervisory experience
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to develop a positive team
- Must have good, clear and concise communication skills
- An ability to work together in a positive team environment.
- Passion to get things right.
