Job Description

The Faculty of Arts is currently seeking aLecturer/Senior Lecturerfor an exciting opportunity to lead and teach the popular Arts Scholars Programme. This is position is full-time and fixed-term until December 2023.
About the Programme
Arts Scholars gives high-achieving students the opportunity to work with top academics across a three-year course of study. In their first two years, students explore a scholarly theme and begin to develop research skills from multi-disciplinary perspectives. In their third year, they complete a self-directed research project with guidance from academic mentors. Arts Scholars students form a strong cohort as they go through the programme, and are encouraged to take on leadership roles in the Faculty.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of running the programme, as well as convening the stage two and three courses (ARTSCHOL 200 and 300). The responsibilities for the role will include broadening academic staff contribution to the programme, growing the year-one intake, and improving the diversity of the student cohort. The role includes the capacity for continued academic research alongside management of the Arts Scholars programme.
