We are looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineering Lecturer who will provide our students with a high-quality level of learning and be passionate about passing their knowledge and skills to enable them to succeed in their studies. We are looking for individuals who have the motivation to the want to engage in growth of our programmes and to shape the development of new teaching and learning techniques.   Role purpose The role will involve being student centred, by delivering courses which give the students an innovative, motivational, supportive and quality learning experience. The role holder will be reflective, self-assess and evaluate their own student outcomes whilst contributing to and collaborating with colleagues and the Head of School. Staff will be compliant with all legal obligations and NZSEG policies including the approved Programme Document/s. Does this sound like you? You will demonstrate an outstanding track record of collaborating with students from various backgrounds, crafting tailored content informed by industry insights and feedback. Develop and implement course plans using effective teaching methodologies and materials that align with the NZSE Teaching and Learning Plan, catering to the needs of students and course content. Develop captivating learning materials and pioneering assessment tools tailored to equip our student's for the industry. Ensure timely completion of all assessments, including tests, adhering to course requirements. This includes thorough marking, providing constructive feedback, conducting moderation, and facilitating reassessment and rescheduling within specified timeframes. Foster a collaborative environment by actively engaging with the Academic Leader and fellow lecturers to ensure program delivery is coherent, innovative, and reflects current industry standards and practices. Utilize and integrate suitable interactive online resources in course development and delivery, enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes. Desirables A Ph.D. or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Demonstrated expertise in electrical engineering theory and practice. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for teaching and mentoring students. Some experience working withing the industry. Ability to stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.
