You will be working closely with four LSCs and work across our kahui ako but mostly working within a secondary school space.You will play a vital role in ensuring that all our akonga have access to the necessary resources and assistance required to thrive. You will work closely with akonga, whanau, and kaiako to identify learning challenges and to implement effective support strategies.We are seeking an individual who possesses the following qualities:Has experience in and passion for providing learning support for a wide range of tamariki.Can support kaiako/teachers in schools to lift their capability to better meet the needs of learners, and to strengthen their connections with early learning services.Can support and build strong relationships with parents and whanau, building a better understanding around learning support and establishing points of contact if needed.Can work alongside other LSCs across the kahui ako and connect with wider agencies to access all services and resources to support learners.Is able to collaborate successfully with leadership teams, kaiako and SENCO across multi schools to ensure the needs of all students are met.Is willing to contribute to schoolwide activities.Is flexible and willing to respond to needs across the kahui ako as needed.A knowledge of the learning support system and prior experience working with external agencies such as RTLB and MOE would be advantageous.
