The Learning & Development Consultant is a newly created position and will report to the Human Resource Manager. The role is responsible for creating and implementing L&D initiatives that support building capability in the workforce. This will include the identification of development needs, development programs and solutions that align to individual and organisational objectives. The position will provide the individual with a broad variety of L&D activities.
The role:
Manage and facilitate the Companys Capability Management System ensuring it remains up to date inline with industry requirements and business operations.
Support the business to fulfil capability proficiencies in line with the overall business strategy.
Partner with internal stakeholders to develop a variety of in-house training programs, this will include using instructional design software to create e-learning materials.
Support Subject Matter Experts to develop strategies to build capabilities within targeted proficiencies.
Partner with the Senior Management team to find solutions to capability areas with identified proficiency gaps, developing and designing programs to address these.
Produce data analytics and heat map reports on capability proficiency levels on a monthly basis.
Work with internal Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the Companys Capability Management System continues to meet the operational needs of the business industry practice and overall workforce proficiencies to implement changes as required.
Maintain the Competency Records of all staff, ensuring that they remain up to date and able to be recorded at any point in time as required.
Ensure that the Learning & Development programs of the business adhere to external accreditation requirements as appropriate.

Required experience & skills
Tertiary qualifications in human resources, business, commerce or a related subject matter with a minimum of 3 years L&D experience. Ideally with knowledge of the NSW AEO requirements (desirable).
Understanding of technical competency frameworks within an engineering environment.
Experience in developing e-learning materials using instructional design software.
Previous experience in facilitating training sessions and developing training materials.
Experience in creating and maintaining data & information libraries including the use of Access databases. Previous experience working with SuccessFactors or an equivalent HRIS.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret and communicate complex information to stakeholders.
