Lead Test Analyst at Ministry of Social Development, Wellington - Wairarapa Te Pae Tawhiti Transformation Programme is a major undertaking, spanning several years and delivering significant benefits to over a million New Zealanders who access MSD support and services.

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is embarking on a transformational change that will deliver a new service model enabled by new capabilities, systems, and processes. MSD is the lead agency for managing and delivering New Zealand's welfare system, which includes public employment services on behalf of the Government, and the primary provider of social policy and advice to Government. As part of this change, MSD is building a Digital Employment Service Platform (DESP) that will not only enhance MSD's digital service for employment but also transform the effectiveness of MSD's wider employment services.

Lead Test Analyst - Digital Employment Service Platform Improvement, Systems and Technology Te Pae Tawhiti – Our Future is about MSD's future role and how we can make a bigger and better difference for New Zealanders.Fixed Term opportunity – Ending June 2025Based in WellingtonAbout the role | Tenei turanga The Lead Test Analyst will work closely with the key project and practice stakeholders (including QA practice leads/manager, project managers, solution architects, software vendors and other stakeholders as necessary) to establish a shared understanding of the testing strategy covering roles and responsibilities, interdependencies and touch points between the parties, expected results, and deliverables. The successful candidate will coordinate testing activities with the internal testing team and external vendors providing end-to-end ownership of the testing process and deliverables.
About You | Ko wai koe A successful candidate will bring along the following skills and experience:Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.Stakeholder management skills – ability to communicate, influence and align senior project and business stakeholders on testing approach and outcomes.Experience in vendor relationship and delivery management.Strong leadership skills and ability to lead and motivate a team of test analysts and engineers.Recent hands-on testing experienceThe following skills and experience would be highly beneficial for this role: Proven experience leading large SaaS test programmes of work. Salary range: $136,420.00 - $169,767.00
