We recognise the positive difference that our kaiako make in our children's lives and are committed to providing the support needed to achieve that. Gisborne Montessori Preschool is governed by a Parent Board, who along with the manager work to ensure the successful operation of the preschool. Our team are seeking an experienced, qualified kaiako with strong leadership and management skills, who will lead, drive, and promote the philosophy of our centre. You'll have strengths in building connections with whanau and the teaching team for our tamariki to feel secure, independent, and capable lifelong learners. Strong communication skills are essential, along with the ability to create an enriching environment with the support of our Montessori trained teachers. Confidence in curriculum design, planning, and assessment are also essential. Attributes for the role include: Fully qualified teacher Experience as a team leader or head teacher Confidence in Internal Evaluation for ongoing improvement Skills in quality planning and assessment Fostering social and emotional development in our tamariki Professional attitude and commitment to maintaining a positive learning environment. Montessori trained or experienced desired but not essential.  Working 32.5 hours Monday to Friday.
