About the role We believe that all good design starts with understanding our users. As the Lead Digital UI Designer, you'll be a key member of our Customer Products team – a team who challenge the status quo and 'leapfrog' the category from today to tomorrow. You will work closely with Product Owners, Marketing and Engineering Teams to define and deliver new products and refine existing offerings. We are a team with a passion for delivering solutions that go above and beyond the expectations of our users. You will use your full range of skills from product design, interaction design, and visual design to build magical experiences delivered by Foodies. These are some of the things you will be doing: •Leading the UI designers; implementing and defining modern UI practices •Facilitating high-level strategic design decisions through modern design thinking •Collaborating cross-functionally to understand business requirements and develop solutions that impact the bottom line and solve real user problems. •Designing digital products from understanding and brainstorming through iterative design, development, and delivery •Advocating a customer-centred approach in design perspective and practice across our product ecosystem •Setting the vision of the product, ensuring that it is well understood and executed on that vision. •Effectively communicating the user experience throughout the design process by crafting compelling designs and prototypes along with conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually to team members, stakeholders, and Executives •Constantly pushing your limits and searching for opportunities to become better while implementing and managing UI process and ensuring consistent UI documentation in the same styling. •Building the value of UI design in Foodies and educating the organisation on what UI is and does. About You: You'll be enthusiastic and passionate about doing your job, constantly curious and always seeking to improve your knowledge, along with having exceptional UI Design skills and a passion for customer experience and interaction design trends. You will be well versed in digital design practices, comfortable with challenging assumptions and willing to help steer the team towards a winning definition and project brief for new product offerings. You will also have excellent communication and relationship building skills as there are multiple touch points across the business. Along with this, you will have exceptional visual skills and attention to detail in order to find innovative solutions to solve customer needs. To be successful in this role you will also: •Have an excellent grasp of design thinking and prototyping process, including product/interaction/visual, with the know-how to move from pencil on paper to layout to pixel-perfect handoff using tools such as Figma •Have expert facilitation, communication, and presentation skills with ability to conduct workshops, clearly present your work; you are articulate and can advocate design rationale. •Be a self-starter who actively seeks ways to make the user interface visually appealing and easy to use. •Have 5+ years designing for multiple platforms experience, with 3+ years as a senior visual and interaction designer or equivalent practical experience. •Be experienced in user flow creation and information architecture. •Be comfortable implementing world class design process and ensure the design team are meeting design standards.
