Visit OPPORTUNITYWe are looking for a talented and experienced Lead Compositing TD to work closely with our Department Leads, Compositing Artists, Production team and our VFX Supervisor to lead and enable artists to deliver the highest quality shots in an efficient and robust pipeline.This role involves proactively exploring and implementing new technologies, developing advanced tools, and creating templates to enhance efficiency and quality across multiple artists. You will anticipate and address technical challenges, advocate best practices, and mentor artists for streamlined workflow. Deep expertise in Python, as well as mastery of the Nuke tool set will be crucial in creating high-quality digital composites for challenging shots. You will manage color/data/file workflow, render optimization, API integration, and collaborate with Department Leads to achieve optimal workflow efficiency.As a Leader, you will oversee a team of Compositing artists, work with Department Leads and VFX Supervisors to achieve the creative look, review shots for technical and creative continuity, and assess pre-comp requirements. Being able to ensure consistency and develop production methodologies, creative approaches and problem solving play a big part of this position.Join us in pushing the boundaries of visual effects with your technical and creative expertise!!ABOUT YOU:New ideas excite you and you are driven to convey and incorporate them across multiple disciplines. You're positive by nature and you embrace opportunities to troubleshoot and achieve deadlines.With a minimum 5 years compositing experience in live action film or episodic projects behind you, you'll will also have the following:Mastery of Nuke, including knowledge of Gizmos and Groups workflows.Expert knowledge of compositing as well as integration of 3D elements into plates.Strong artistic sensibilities and skills, meticulous attention to detail, able to interpret feedback notes.Advanced scripting ability (Python). Developer / script writing skills are considered an asset.Knowledge of 3D toolsets and pipelines (Maya, Houdini, Substance, Zbrush, Nuke, Karma/Solaris, python Redshift etc) is considered an asset.Knowledge and/or interest in emerging technologies including AIExcellent problem-solving skills and the capability to navigate complex technical challenges.Stay on schedule and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest quality of workDemonstrating robust leadership and strategic thinking abilities, you should possess the skill to effectively lead and motivate a technical team.
