Carpentry & Cabinet Making (Trades & Services)Blair Boats Limited based in beautiful Northland are seeking a qualified Lead Carpenter to support the team to provide high-end woodworking to our clients. This is a unique position where the successful candidate will be working in the marine industry where no two projects are the same.This is a fulltime position working on the tools but also leading and providing project management support to the team.Tasks & responsibilitiesProject management of marine cabinet making and general carpentry.Working in a small team on composite epoxy boat building, fiberglass, wood repair and refits.Painting, plumbing, cabinet making, woodworking.Qualifications & experienceBoat building experienceCabinet making experienceFlexible hours, great working environment, friendly team.Use of shop and tools for own projectsWho are we?Blair Boats is a boutique family owned and operated boat building and woodworking yard located in Oromahoe just south of Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands. Blair Boats provides professional refits, modifications, repaint services including wood and composite repairs, as well as long term storage options.Blair boats has a 280m2 shed and all the modern tools required for a professional workshop to deliver a high standard of work. We currently have seven boats in the yard ranging for 30ft classics to 40ft cruising catamarans.We have a small team of 4-6 boat builders.
