Our business hours are Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm.We have three permanent full-time positions available for Landscape Gardener in Marborough who are good team players and willing to take on new challenges. We offer a competitive wage ranging from $29.66 to $32.00 per hour. You can work at least 30 hours a week and a maximum of 40 hours a week including working on weekends.Our requirements: We need someone who is highly skilled in landscape construction, maintenance, and enhancing the overall appearance of landscapes. You should also be comfortable using and looking after gardening tools and machines, paying close attention to detail, and taking the initiative to keep things in top shape. Plus, you need to be fit enough to handle outdoor work in all kinds of weather and terrain.Additionally, you'll have at least three years of relevant experience or a qualification at NZQA level 4. And it's important to be flexible since the job might include weekend and holiday shifts.Responsibilities:Create plans and drawings for the vineyard, choosing materials and plants, and organizing the landscape construction schedule.Design and set up landscape elements like gravel and paved areas, walls, fences, trellises, pergolas, ponds, barbecues, and garden furniture.Prepare planting areas and seedbeds.Establish lawns by spreading topsoil and planting grass.Manage weed control and keep the vineyard landscape clean and tidy.Plant trees, bushes, hedges, flowers, and bulbs.Monitor and maintain plant health, including identifying and treating diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.Check and upkeep landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it works properly and meets safety standards.Assist with general vineyard tasks as needed, particularly during busy times like harvest.Skills & Attributes:An attitude of positivity and capability People with good qualities and loyaltyAdaptable & ReliableWork on a variety of tasks where not every day is the sameSelf-motivation and ability to work independentlyAn ability to work under pressureGood listening & communication skillsIf you match the experience, qualifications, and traits we're seeking, we welcome you to join our team and contribute to our company's growth.
