About The Role
We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Runner/Sorter to join our supportive team in Wellington. In this role, you will provide assistance to our staff to collect and sort kerbside recycling.
Key responsibilities will include:
Collecting kerbside bins, rubbish and recycling from assigned streets and sorting into nominated areas of the collection vehicle
Unloading waste collection vehicles on return to the depot or other nominated facilities to make sure that all products are placed in the correct bay/sorting areas
Assisting in the cleaning and general maintenance of vehicles
Operating the vehicles to dispose of garbage and returning the bins to the collected areas
Daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment are carried out
You will need to have a reasonable level of fitness and strength to be able to undertake the manual handling requirements of the role. Your self-motivation, ability to work independently with strong planning and time management skills alongside your commitment to grow, will help you to succeed in this role.
The following qualifications would be an advantage (not essential):
A valid NZ driver’s licence
Current Forklift licence
Current First Aid certificate
