We have a fixed term parental leave coverLaboratory Technician or Trainee Laboratory Technicianposition available in the Core Laboratory area of our Hastings laboratory.
The successful candidate will hold the appropriate qualifications and registration with the Medical Sciences Council, or have an interest in Medical Laboratory Scienceanda science degree or diploma suitable for provisional registration. This would be the ideal opportunity for such a trainee to gain experience and with the appropriate training and support to become a fully registered medical laboratory technician.
Once you've completed your training, you will be expected to take part in the out of hours technician roster.
You'll join the wider team in the hospital's laboratory department and participate in regular professional development training.
Hawke's Bay Hospital has approximately 400 beds and provides acute and elective care for the Hawke's Bay region. We have Primary and Community health services and support a collaborative approach to health and health care.
