TEST RIGHT BUILD RIGHTAbout the roleWe have a role for a Laboratory and Field Technician to join our established IANZ accredited laboratory in the Northland region.Position is fixed term, however part time may be considered.We can supply full training.You will need to be physically fit and enjoy a variety between indoors and outdoors in all seasons.Some of our testing equipment and samples can be heavy and require both strength and robust lifting techniques - your safety is our priority.This position is a technician role not a design or Engineer role.You will conduct a wide range of laboratory and field tests in support of Civil and Geotechnical Engineering Professionals.Skills and experienceAn interest in or experience in Science and Geology would be an advantage but not essential for the Technician role.Experience in field testing and laboratory testing of material and soils used for construction projects is preferred but not essential, we can supply full training to the right candidate.Mechanical aptitude would also be an advantage.You will need to be on the ball with the NZ Health and Safety standards.Adaptability to using changing IT in the field is essential.
