Job Description $26.78 per hour Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed As Kitchenhand you will assist the kitchen brigade in ensuring that all kitchen areas are kept clean and tidy at all times, that food and beverage outlets are provided with clean and sanitised operating equipment and that food-handling techniques are in line with current Health and Hygiene regulations. Key responsibilities include: Ensure that kitchens are kept clean and tidy according to current Health and Hygiene regulations. Count, sort and prepare operating equipment as required. Ensure the correct handling of chemicals and equipment as per manufacturer's instructions. Ensure that all operating equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware are hygienically and safely stored. Ensure waste is removed from kitchens on a regular basis and that it is recycled appropriately. Assist in the preparation of food as directed by the Executive Chef or supervisory team. Ensure that all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards. Actively support and participate in safe work practices following health and safety, rehabilitation, environment and smoke-free policies and procedures in the workplace. Qualifications You are keen to learn new skills - we will provide you with training. You are a team player with good communication and engagement skills. You are able to work 5 days per week on a rotating 7 day roster, including after hours, weekends and public holidays.
