Medirest are looking for a part time kitchen hand (12 hours per week) to work at an aged care site inWaiuku, Auckland.We need someone who loves to help, has a sense of humour and who will enjoy being part of this onsite team. Food safety must be maintained at all times alongside high standards of cleanliness. When working in the kitchen you will help serve meals to the residents (so empathy with the elderly is a must) along with general cleaning of kitchen areas; including washing of dishes and pitching in where required.
The right applicant must have:
Great customer service skills - be willing, patient and empathetic
Ability to cook , bake and follow recipes
Previous experience in a similar role
Be reliable, honest and be able to work unsupervised
Be fit, in good health and capable of physical work as lifting is involved
Be focused on food safety
Work well in a team
