The Wishbone brand delivers a premium range of tasty and nutritious meals and food products for the health conscious and discerning. We offer many products that are nutritionally balanced and meet the dietary requirements of all our customers with a strong focus on continuous improvement. All our products are manufactured at our purpose-built plant just out of Wellington CBD and then distributed to a national network of 20 company owned Wishbone retail outlets and to various supermarkets and other wholesale clients throughout NZ.
We are a growing business and are currently searching for a dedicated professional cook to join our team.
We are seeking a Kitchen Cook to join our team working in our commercial kitchen for Wishbone.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday with hours between 6.00 am to 3.00 pm.

Finishing times can vary with demand, so flexibility with this is essential.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

- A positive, flexible team attitude, capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Punctuality and responsibility with the ability to work unsupervised
- Good cooking and knife skills
- Impeccable food safety skills with qualifications in this area
- Previous experience as a production chef or cook

We are looking for a fast learner, able to get on with the task at hand and willing to improve the role making it more efficient for both you and the team.

THE POSITION

This position is based at our head office in Ngauranga. We have built a brand-new kitchen in a great building, with good staff facilities and working environment.

We are a few minutes from Ngauranga train station and near the bus stop. Free staff parking is also provided.
