Kitchen Assistant

We are expanding our kitchen assistant team in both our Vogel St and Otago Museum kitchens with either part time or casual positions available.  You would need to be available to work in either kitchens.We are a leading catering business situated in Dunedin's exciting Warehouse Precinct and full cafe situated at Otago Museum. Our values are based on handmade food, crafted fresh each day using the best ingredients. We use sustainable business practices, and strive to exceed our client and customer expectations. Our café is open 7 days a week where we serve contemporary and fresh food. Our catering operation provides for corporate and private clients throughout greater Dunedin as well as specialized catering services and food experiences. We operate full kitchens from both of our venuesThis job is a diverse one including everything from dish washing and kitchen cleaning, to delivering catering orders, working at offsite events and helping out with food preparation and presentation in both our catering and cafe kitchens.  Some prior hospitality experience is preferred with further training available for the right candidate.We operate as a team with all members pitching in to help – we are looking for a team member with the following skills:• A great smile, warm manner and a team spirit• Energy, stamina and reliability• Clean and tidy work habits• Tolerance and a big heart when a mountain of dishes pile up!• Be a confident, fully licensed driverOur aim is to deliver an outstanding product & experience to every customer, with a focus on top quality food and beverages that have been made & delivered with passion and skill.We can schedule shifts to work in with study commitmentsA restricted/full NZ drivers licence is preferred.Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visaFurther details will be provided on applying.
