Key Account & Import Operations Expert

Our client, a well established International Freight Forwarder whom have formed a worldwide network covering over 40 countries and offering the Sea Freight, Air Freight, Customs Clearance, Transportation, Warehousing, Distribution, Project Management and Logistics services are seeking a Key Account & Import Operations expert to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess International Freight Forwarding experience offering a high attention to detail, attentive and confident as they will be responsible for providing a high level of service to a portfolio of key accounts. In addition the ability to problem solve and think on your feet as well as build strong client relationships is extremely important.
Your primary responsibilities will include organising shipments, following up on orders with overseas offices and/or agents, tracking shipments and maintaining shipment reports within our internal tracking system as well as EDI, as well as arranging customs clearance and delivery of cargoes,
Daily duties would include:
Receiving, checking and processing orders
Proactively updating clients
Handling general customer enquiries and query resolution
Liaising with overseas offices / agents as well as shipping lines
Formulating and submitting Clients quotes
Preparing shipping schedules
Preparing and maintaining client status report for key account
Receiving and Processing of Clearance Documents
Arranging Quarantine Directions where needed
Arranging IFIP Inspections when needed
Ensuring that all Charges and Disbursements are collected before release of cargoes / shipments
