We work in various settings to promote health and wellbeing, reduce inequities and work alongside focus populations to support them in building on their strengths to address priorities.Our mahi involves building connections and maintaining effective relationships; as the Kaiwhakatairanga Hauora Health Promotion Advisor, Auahi Kore you will be involved in :Working as part of a team with colleagues and partners to support smokefree with a focus on communities most impacted by tobaccoDeveloping a strong relationship with the Southern Stop Smoking Service and promoting pathways to their serviceIdentifying and addressing health and wellbeing priorities and supporting smokefree, through building relationships with Maori providers and community organisations.Mou ake About youWe are looking for a passionate motivated person who enjoys connecting and working in partnership with communities.In this role you will be expected to have competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.You will bring experience as a contributing member of iwi and Maori communities including effective relationships with those communities that role-models our obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and achieves equity for Maori.You will have excellent organisational, communication and computer skills.
