Mo te turanga mahi | About the role Now is an exciting time to make your mark with ACC as we embark on interweaving kaupapa Maori into our day-to-day mahi. As the Kaituhono Rautaki Matua | Strategic Engagement Partner to the Deputy Chief Executive Maori, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and advice on the design and implementation of Te Tiriti and equity centric initiatives across ACC that will better deliver on the needs of Maori. This is a deep subject matter expert role that requires active, influential leadership to nurture strategic engagement and development of iwi, hapu, whanau, clients, Maori business and Maori community partnerships across Aotearoa on behalf of ACC. This role works by partnering with leaders across ACC, to bring Maori worldviews and matauranga into the development and accountability mechanisms of ACC to ensure our systems and processes are accessible, resolve inequities, and meet the needs of Maori. Salary ranges from $137,401 to $193,978 with a mid-point of $161,648. Preferred locations are Te Whanganui-a-Tara or Tamaki Makaurau. To be successful in this role, you will bring: A significant proven track record in successful partnering approaches with Iwi, Hapu and whanau Maori to support Crown obligations towards effective Maori development and wellbeing. Demonstrated experience in Maori engagement including strong established Maori networks across the private and public sector. Extensive knowledge, and proven ability to advise on the application of te Tiriti o Waitangi and Crown obligations to Maori development and wellbeing. A genuine desire to work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for Tangata Whenua and Tangata Tiriti. Highly effective interpersonal and influencing skills with proven experience of building strong relationships with people at all levels and leading cultural change. Experience of lifting capability and providing practical advice, guidance, and tools to help others succeed. An influential style that builds trust and credibility with a strong sense of accountability to complete work on time and within budget.
