Ngati Hine Health TrustPsychology, Counselling & Social Work (Healthcare & Medical)If you are passionate about making a lasting difference in the lives of whanau, then this may be the job for you!!ABOUT THE ROLEReporting to the Director of Operational Service Delivery and working in partnership with the leadership team, the successful candidate will champion a Kaupapa Maori Model of Care and lead the delivery of safe, efficient and comprehensive contemporary high quality, person/whanau centered clinical services within both residential and community settings. As an accomplished front line leader, you will grow and develop your high-performing team while contributing to strategic and service planning processes in alignment with the directorate plan and broader health reforms.The successful candidate will also have:Relevant clinical qualifications in mental health addictions to master's level and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience within Mental Health Addictions services at a senior management level.Knowledge and experience of integrated care approaches within mental health and addictions.A track record in leading and managing positive change.Understanding of and experience in addressing equity issues across the sector including, but not limited to Maori Health.The service is delivered within a positive whanau ora framework and based within a well-established Maori Kaupapa service. Most importantly, however, the practitioner will be highly mobile and flexible to enable the service to be integrated into community settings throughout the Ngati Hine rohe, where whanau congregate and can feel comfortable.It goes without saying that you will already have a strong knowledge of mental health and addictions; experience in primary mental health screening and triage; delivery of evidence-informed therapy, treatment services and therapeutic interventions; You will have some experience with group work, and providing mental health talk therapies (at a minimum). You will also have a proven ability to connect positively with whanau and support them using a positive, strengths-based approach.You need to be a self-starter who is goal orientated and committed to the health and well-being of whanau. It is essential that you have strong communication and administrative skills, proven success in developing and maintaining strong client and inter-agency relationships, can work well on an individual and team basis, and most importantly, have a passion for our whanau.You will also:Hold a clean full New Zealand driver's license and can drive a manual vehicleKnowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of the Te Tiriti o WaitangiIf this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!!OUR STORY, OUR SERVICESNgati Hine Health Trust (The Trust) celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022.
