Community Development (Community Services & Development) As a social worker you will work as part of a team that support whanau who want to give their whanau and tamariki the best possible start in life.Our Kaimahi work alongside whanau to facilitate, support and deliver a range of health promotion, education and training opportunities for whanau and communities within Te Porowini o Ngati Hine (service area).Our goal is to enable whanau to identify their essential needs in their home environment to assist in strengthening their capacity to self manage their journey.ABOUT YOUWe are looking for culturally competent professionals (preferably from a Social Work; Navigator or High-complex needs background) who possess the skills and attitude, to prepare whanau to develop their own pathways where whanau are well, safe and determine, for themselves, their own way forward to achieving their goals and aspirations. Preferred applicants will have active and meaningful networks that can support whanau in areas such as Accommodation, Employment, Health, Whanau relationships, Community Contribution and Cultural Connectivity.The Successful CandidateHold a Tertiary qualification or degree in Social ServicesHave the ability to sow vision and new ways for whanau and their journey Ability to self-manage and work within a team OUR STORY, OUR SERVICESNgati Hine Health Trust (The Trust) celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022. The Trust delivers across multiple sectors including health, disability support, mental health & addictions, primary care, justice, corrections, housing, education, social services, reo irirangi Maori and Whanau Ora. We have locations in Kawakawa (Head Office), Whangarei (Business Support) and satellite offices in Kaikohe, Pakaraka, Moerewa and Kaeo.
