An understanding of Te Ao Maori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi is particularly valuable.Flexible working hours and work-from-home provisions are available by arrangement with your manager.This is a permanent 32 hour a week positionThere will be occasional travel required for this role.NB: The successful applicant must be available to begin the week of 13th May.Kaiarahi Hinonga: Project Advisor Job DescriptionThe Kaiarahi Hinonga plays a crucial role working closely with the Kaihautu Tikanga and Kaihautu Mahi in the development and implementation of all RespectEd Aotearoa primary prevention services and activities to address and reduce sexual violence and harm. They contribute to project delivery, stakeholder engagement, data collection, and coordination, with a focus on delivering social change and positive impacts for communities.Cultural CompetencyDemonstrates an understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Kaupapa Maori frameworks in the field of sexual abuse and violence.Embodies a high level of cultural sensitivity, awareness, and respect for diverse communities, ensuring safety, inclusion, and representation.Effectively works to ensure all aspects of organisational operations and service delivery design, implementation and evaluation are inclusive and ethical.Nurtures strong relationships with Maori organisations, iwi, and hapu, fostering meaningful partnerships that align with and uphold the organisation's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.Project Design and Implementation:Integrate Te Ao Maori frameworks and approaches into primary prevention services, programs, and projects.Define project objectives, deliverables, and scope, and ensuring that the project stays on track, adjusting when necessary.Support and contribute to the design, implementation, and evaluation of primary prevention programs and services addressing the root causes and risk factors of sexual abuse and violence.Engage with community stakeholders to assess needs, build relationships, and foster collaborations for prevention efforts.Develop engaging educational materials, resources, and workshops to raise awareness and knowledge among diverse audiences.Facilitate group discussions, workshops, and training sessions on healthy relationships, consent, and wider prevention strategies.Collaborate with schools, community organisations, and partners to deliver prevention programs and activities in diverse settings.Organise and participate in community events, campaigns, and activities to mobilise against sexual abuse and violence.Training and Capacity Building:Assist and lead in delivering of all programs to build the capacity of community members, educators, and service providersContribute to the development of training curricula, materials, and resources.Resource Development and Management:Contribute to creating and enhancing prevention resources, including digital materials, toolkits, and online platforms.Collaborate with content creators, graphic designers, and team members to ensure high-quality resource development.Efficiently allocate and utilise resources, including time, personnel, and materials.Data Analysis and Collaboration:Collect and analyse data to monitor program effectiveness, measure outcomes, and inform continuous improvement.Collaborate with internal teams, including the Practice Lead and Strategic Planning & Business Development, for effective and coordinated prevention efforts.Maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration and resource-sharing.Community Engagement:Actively engage with diverse communities, understanding their needs and incorporating their perspectives into prevention efforts.Identify and leverage community strengths and assets to enhance prevention programs.Continuous Learning:Stay updated on emerging trends, research, and best practices in primary prevention.Attend conferences, webinars, and professional development opportunities for knowledge and skill enhancement.Self-Care and Well-being:Prioritise self-care and well-being to maintain resilience and address emotional demands associated with sexual violence prevention.Seek support from supervisors, peers, and available resources within the organisation.Research and Evaluation:Generate and present progress reports, status updates, and performance metrics to stakeholders.Ensure that the projects and activities meet the required quality standards and legislative or regulatory requirements.Support research activities, such as literature reviews and data analysis, to inform evidence-based prevention strategies.Assist in evaluating prevention programs, collecting feedback and data for measuring impact and identifying areas for improvement.Policy Advocacy:Contribute to policy advocacy efforts by providing insights, recommendations, and evidence from the field of primary prevention.Participate in policy-related meetings, working groups, and consultations to represent the organisation's
