Job DescriptionContract to June 2025 for five hours per week (up to 20 hours per month) with an option to work from home (BOP area) or at The Kollective, Tauranga.
HE WHAI TAKE - Position Purpose Do you have a passion for strategy, engagement and advancing partnerships between tangata whenua and Tangata Tiriti? SociaLink - Tuhono Papori (Social Sector Innovation WBOP Charitable Trust) was set up in 2012 to address the need for an overarching body to raise awareness of and support, the collective impact of the Social and Community Sector in Tauranga and the western Bay of Plenty.
In 2020 the Board of Trustees moved to a 'Two House' governance structure to reflect our commitment to a Te Tiriti partnership model.  The minimum of eight Board members permanently constitutes the two-house model, ie, four Board members identifying as Maori (one of these seats is permanently dedicated for mana whenua Ngai Tamarawaho) and four identifying as non-Maori. In addition, to ensure representation of local iwi of the WBOP, three seats are always available for local iwi to have representation on the Tuhono Papori/SociaLink Board.
Over the past year SociaLink - Tuhono Papori has engaged with local Maori Rangatira to explore how the partnership model could be developed at the operational level, on the basis of this the Board have decided to further engage with local iwi and hapu to inform the development of a Maori strategy that would sit alongside SociaLink - Tuhono Papori's strategic plan which is due to be reviewed in 2025. 
TO TURANGA - Specific activities to be undertaken by the Kai Whakawhanake Rautaki are likely to include the following:  Engage with local iwi and hapu and other relevant rangatira to seek their involvement at governance level and/or to contribute to the development of the Maori strategyReview the mahi that has been done to date to inform the development of SociaLink - Tuhono Papori's Maori strategyReview relevant Maori strategies that could usefully inform the development of SociaLink - Tuhono Papori's Maori strategyNGA PUMANAWATANGA OU - About you The Kai Whakawhanake Rautaki will:

Salary$75 per hour
