K1 teacher – Northland Kindergarten AssociationPart time, Permanent, FTTE up to: 0.5Early learning / kohanga reo, Kindergarten teacherEnglish, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Maori, The arts Northland Kindergarten Association (NKA) is seeking a teacher to join the team at Ruawai Kindergarten, Kaipara. This 20-hour-per-week position will have varying daily hours and will commence as soon as possible. The kindergarten is situated on the outskirts of Ruawai township and is part of an education hub sitting alongside the local primary and secondary schools. The children who attend this kindergarten come from the wider Kaipara community. Are you: A qualified and registered ECE teacher? Able to establish and maintain authentic and professional relationships with children, whanau and colleagues? Self-motivated, show initiative and work collaboratively within a team? Ruawai Kindergarten has a teaching team of 5 teachers and a part-time administrator. The kindergarten operates five 6-hour sessions Monday to Friday catering for 40 children between two and six years of age. Ruawai Kindergarten operates as an All-Year Model, operational for 48 weeks per year. Ruawai Kindergarten is part of a network of 25 kindergartens within the NKA. The kindergarten is supported by professional practice and management teams. NKA adheres to the employment conditions as offered in the Kindergarten Teacher, Head Teachers, and Senior Teachers' Collective Agreement 2023-2026. Applicants must hold a NZ recognised ECE qualification (minimum Dip Teaching ECE), current practising certificate, and first aid certificate. We will also consider applicants in their 3 rd year of ECE study.
