It employs over 650 staff and has a rich heritage of investing in leading edge hospitality facilities and funding significant community projects through its distribution of profits to over 400 community organisations each year.Applicants will demonstrate the following attributes:A professional appearance with a positive attitude, adaptability and flexibility.At least 3 years previous chef experience.High expectations for consistency and quality of all food.Ability to work well under pressureCommunity focused with a passion for people and the communityA true team player with great communication skills and can do attitude.Assist with leadership and mentoring of the kitchen teamThis is a permanent role, working for a minimum of 30 hours per week and paying the minimum hourly rate starting at $29.66 per hour with the maximum starting rate being $30 per hour. If you are interested in any of our roles then do not hesitate, get your application in.Skills Requiredplanning menus, estimating food and labour costs and ordering food supplies.monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.discussing food preparation with managers and kitchen and wait staff.good cooking techniques and procedures.preparing and cooking foodunderstanding and enforcing of hygiene and health and safety regulations.able to select and train staff when required.Job Description:Why this role existsProvide support to the Senior Chef to create and oversee the amazing innovative food which is current and relevant to each food outlet.What you will doMaintain and achieve a high standard of food quality, preparation, production under guidance from your Head Chef. To bring a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen and interacting productively with other departmentsKey OutcomesTo ensure all kitchen outlets operate efficiently by providing consistent amazing food.Ensuring the needs of all guests are the priority over all the other activities resulting in the highest standards of customer service at all times.To maintain and achieve a high standard of food quality, preparation and production.To exceed guest expectations by serving food in a professional, knowledgeable and accommodating manner.To bring a positive attitude to teamwork, contributing to the smooth running of the kitchen and interacting productively with other departments.To maintain the standard and culture of the team by setting an example to new members of staff and assisting in their training.Champion, comply and promote health, safety and wellbeing within ILT.Support the Head Chef and provide cover when on leave.Control of wage costs.Assist Head Chef to meet KPI's.You bring to the roleA professional appearance with a positive attitude, adaptability, and flexibility.Experience as a senior chef level with the ability to create and motivate a high quality team.High expectations for consistency and quality of all food.Proven ability to create interesting menu items with a holistic approach, covering many food types to compliment the various outlets.Ability to work well under pressure.Community focused with a passion for people and the community.A true team play of the entire business.Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
