There is a strong career progression for someone with the right skill set and drive to pursue a career in Estimation.The Role: The role will be responsible for the pricing and winning of projects as well as providing office support to the Director and wider company.If you are interested in quantity surveying or estimating, this is the perfect way to get your foot in the door.This role is a great development position encouraging your input to make a difference, and make it your own, while we offer the support and advice you will need.TasksPricing Electrical for Commercial and Residential tendersPreparing and Sending QuotesGetting quotes/ estimates from material suppliers.Checking supplier pricing.Working with client Quantity Surveyors on job variations and payment schedules.QS contract administrationKey SkillsIs passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivatedInterpreting, reading, Engineering / Building PlansGood working knowledge of MS Excel, ability and willingness to learn specialist softwareGood relationship building and interpersonal skillBasic Accounting knowledge and good numeracyTeamworkAttention to detail and methodical approach to workQualifications This position would suit someone who has completed their first year and who is now studying a QS related degree or diploma via block courses and / or evenings.Hours of operation: Monday - Friday: 9 am - 5 pmApplicants must be Auckland based and Willing to travel into Penrose
