Summary
Our Insights team is small and works closely with all areas of the business, so the work you'll do will be varied, touching everything from data science through to analysis and some data engineering. One day you may be helping the product team further understand our customer journey, another you may be creating models to predict user behaviour or creating robust data pipelines. You'll have to be a great communicator as not only will you uncover insights within the data, you'll present them back to senior stakeholders within the business in a clear and concise manner.
Reporting to the Head of Data and working closely with the Marketing, Products and Development teams, you would be involved in the following activities:

Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to understand their problems and perform requirements analysis to create fit-for-purpose solutions to guide Serato's strategic directionAnalysing data from different data sources to answer business questionsPresenting your findings back to internal teams and stakeholders in a simple and easy to understand mannerHelp with building and maintaining data pipelinesKey Responsibilities and Tasks:
Descriptive Analytics
Creating and maintaining reports that are used for decision makingFinding patterns and trends in an organization's historical dataAnswering ad-hoc queries in relation to reports, in an accurate and timely mannerStaying abreast of data developments, innovations and trends in the industryPresenting actionable insights back to stakeholders in a clear manner Predictive/Prescriptive Analytics
Extract and analyse data from different internal data sources to answer business questionsIdentifying trends and patterns within dataIdentifying areas of the business where predictive modelling can add valueDevelop predictive models that help stakeholders make better decisions and automate manual processesFormulating questions that can help the internal teams in solving their problemsBuild in-depth knowledge and understanding of our customers, products and channelsBuild and maintain data preparation pipelinesGenerate data-based insights to drive opportunities to increase efficiency and improve customer experienceStaying abreast of developments in predictive modelling and identifying new areas of innovation which may help SeratoAbout you
The ideal candidate will be:
Hard working, naturally curious with an interest in DJing and Music ProductionSelf-motivated with a high-level of initiativeComfortable reading and absorbing large amounts of information with an ability to distill it into its core meaning and show critical thinkingHave experience with SQL and python, and preferably have some knowledge of Google Cloud PlatformAbility to think independently, and diplomatically challenge assumptions
