• Join us to support the delivery of training activities for the construction and infrastructure sectors with the Jobs and Skills Hu

We are seeking an experienced, energetic Training Facilitator to identify, support and coordinate training outcomes to meet trainee and employer needs. The Jobs and Skills Hub will support the Tairawhiti region with training and recruitment activities related to the recovery from Cyclone Gabrielle.
The Training Facilitator role is a key pillar for a 'one stop shop' service approach for the construction and infrastructure industries in relation to on-site training, promoting the investment in industry training and being a voice for trainee and employer needs.
The role oversees and co-ordinates innovative training activities to ensure the workforce development needs are met and encourages an industry wide training culture. There is a clear focus on remaining learner and employer centric in delivery and support including alignment to pastoral care of learners.


For this role, ideally you will bring; Experience in construction and/or infrastructure industry training and/or tertiary educationA sound understanding of NZQA and Qualification frameworkStrong relationship management skills with proven ability to build and maintain key relationshipsThe ability to demonstrate initiative and take ownershipThe ability to work collaboratively within a small team to support workload and overall team goalsThe capacity to comfortably navigate changes and shifting prioritiesSound communication skills, including well-developed written and presentation skillsHigh level of attention to detail with the ability work well under pressurePassion in working with diverse stakeholders and communitiesAn excellent level of computer literacy

Experience working with youth to support them into work would be a great advantage as well as a clean New Zealand driver's licence.
