Rosser Underwriting Limitedis an Insurance Underwriting Agency representing several major insurers and dealing with hundreds of insurance brokers throughout New Zealand.
This position is based in our Waipukurau office where out IT and Administration teams provide services to our underwriting team located in Hamilton and to our regional managers based in Auckland, Palmerston North and Christchurch.
We use two proprietary software packages - Sirius S4B and Underwriter Central plus Microsoft Office applications and this role is to ensure our teams IT issues are dealt with promptly and efficiently and in a friendly and considerate manner.
The successful applicant must be:
Familiar with the construction of complicated spread sheets and have significant mathematical and formula building capability in this medium
Competent and up to date with Delphi Pascal programming interacting with SQL databases
Experienced in the analysis, design and implementation of management information systems reporting
Operationally experienced in the design and implementation of risk screens, data tables, document templates and the inherent logic within the Sirius S4B environment
Have a working knowledge of the Insurance Connect Underwriter Central platform
Advanced in all Microsoft Office Applications
A fast learner

Tasks and Responsibilities
We are seeking a suitably qualified individual who operates in an efficient, effective manner with extensive previous experience in an IT Support role. The successful applicant must be a team player who relates well to others in a non-technical way, and have the ability to assimilate training in our specialised insurance software packages. A strong understanding of insurance transaction process and proven organisation and time management skills is also a must.
You will be required to take responsibility for providing the day-to-day IT support requirements of our team in their diverse locations and assist our IT manager in his duties relating to the development and maintenance of our IT system.
In addition you may also be required from time to time to assist with processing and to support underwriting functions.
