The Residential Valuation Forum (RVF) is now opening expressions of interest for Residential Registered Valuers to join the RVF as a Guest. This position does not have voting rights on the RVF.The purpose of the RVF is to bring together industry representatives that use, rely on, or undertake residential valuations for mortgage lending purposes. The RVF discusses then looks to resolve challenges, opportunities, and issues within the Valuation Industry in order to promote ongoing professional improvement for the benefit of the valuation and mortgage lending industry. It is also responsible for administration of the Residential Valuation Standing Instructions (RVSI).The RVF consists of representatives from the five largest banks in New Zealand, along with the two Valuation Ordering Service (VOS) providers, and NZIV Council representatives (also guests/non-voting members). We are seeking the participation of Registered Valuers with strong industry expertise to enhance the collaborative atmosphere within our forum and contribute to our collective discussions. As a participant, you will have the opportunity to: Engage in meaningful discussions on Residential Valuations undertaken for mortgage lending purposes.Network with individuals from the Valuation and Mortgage Lending industries.Provide a technical user's perspective to assist RVF members when reviewing and approving changes to RVSI. In addition to these benefits, we would like to highlight a few key requirements of your participation: Quarterly Meetings: You will participate in quarterly meetings (at times, more or less frequent) to discuss industry topics, share insights, and work together on collaborative initiatives.12-month tenure: Successfully selected applicants will be provided with, and be expected to commit to, a 12-month tenure. This commitment ensures the continuity of long-term discussions to meet the objectives of our forum and may be renewable.Contribution Expectation: We value active participation. You will be encouraged to contribute your expertise, insights, and support to the group's objectives. As a Guest, participation will not include voting rights, including when matters relate to RVSI changes.Attendance: Meetings are held in Auckland and where possible, it is encouraged that attendance is in person however all meetings are conducted on Teams as well, so remote participation is not precluded. To be eligible, please consider the following prerequisites: Registered Valuer with a current APC.Minimum 3 years post Registration experience in residential valuations.Currently hold a senior/leadership role in your organisation.Active participant in the VOS process.
